Primary Taekwon-Do
Lower Belts Syllabus
The lower belt Syllabus is aimed at developing the students basic knowledge of movements. Each belt builds on the last.
The explanation of the belt colours helps us, as students understand where we are in our training.
White signifies innocence, as that of the beginning student who has no previous knowledge of Taekwon-do.
Yellow signifies earth, from which a plant sprouts and takes root, as TaeKwon-Do foundation is being laid.
Green signifies the plant’s growth as TaeKwon-Do skills begin to develop.
At each grade a student developes an understanding of their paractical and theory items. When the instructor sees this in class, a student will be invited to the next pre grading test.
Grading intervals are set at 6 months for those going for 7th Kup - Green Stripe and above
